Dag Retsö is Associate Professor in economic history at the Department of Economic History and International Relations, Stockholm University. His research areas include Swedish fiscal administration and standards of living in the Middle Ages as well as climate history. Currently, he is working on a book about regent itineraries and on a project on taxes in medieval Scandinavia.
